Death to Life
Oh the beauty of the earth
Stars and grass and sun and skies
Marching to death straight from your birth
Have you been blinded in your eyes?
Over earth there is a haze
Of beautiful unending praise
The trees have their leaves
And clap their hands
But you've been deceived
And just see death
Death to life
Oh death to life
Change our eyes LORD
Change our eyes!
The frost is thawing
You are calling
Let us open up our eyes
And when the children finally see
They fall upon their knees
They see your fingerprints in the earth
And from your death receive new birth
Death to life
Oh death to life
Change our eyes LORD
Change our eyes
The frost is thawing
You are calling
Let us open up our eyes!
And when the fool is finally wise
You will open up his eyes
Your hands that did guide him in the dark
Will ever surround his aching heart
Death to life
Oh death to life
Change our eyes LORD
Change our eyes
The frost is thawing
You are calling
Let us open up our eyes!
Stars and grass and sun and skies
Marching to death straight from your birth
Have you been blinded in your eyes?
Over earth there is a haze
Of beautiful unending praise
The trees have their leaves
And clap their hands
But you've been deceived
And just see death
Death to life
Oh death to life
Change our eyes LORD
Change our eyes!
The frost is thawing
You are calling
Let us open up our eyes
And when the children finally see
They fall upon their knees
They see your fingerprints in the earth
And from your death receive new birth
Death to life
Oh death to life
Change our eyes LORD
Change our eyes
The frost is thawing
You are calling
Let us open up our eyes!
And when the fool is finally wise
You will open up his eyes
Your hands that did guide him in the dark
Will ever surround his aching heart
Death to life
Oh death to life
Change our eyes LORD
Change our eyes
The frost is thawing
You are calling
Let us open up our eyes!

Oh Delightful Sunshine
Oh Spring weather on a mood swing
cloudy storms and sun that sings
All creation waking up
Vanilla tea in my white cup
Sunlight notes filter light
The windows open up their eyes
The shades sigh and open their lungs
to receive the warm light of the sun
It shimmers gently through the trees
and brushes against honey bee's wings
Oh delightful sunshine
come here in the spring time
like a piano concert sign
in the rain and in the grey
the ivory keys continually play
Come and sing the haunting notes
even those that hurt the most
Sing the things that break my heart
so I can heal straight from the start
warm my face after winter storms
Raise the hopes of trees forlorn
Shine brilliant and delightfully
Like the sparrow sings in the old oak tree

The Fields of Armond
Somewhere calling me are the fields of Armond
But I do not know where they be
Someone from there is singing a song
But I don't know the song that they sing
Have I been to these fields in the days of my youth?
Have I heard this wild song in the wind?
Is the call simply rain pounding on my roof?
Or is it the call for my life to begin?
Perhaps it is the end of all things that have been
Perhaps I'll find it in my last days
But I think I shall always be searching then
The people will see me on their ways
For I shall always hear this call in the sunrise
And hear it ring forevermore in my heart
And in my last days I will lift mine eyes
and at last find the fields of Armond
